Carlisle Country Club

The Golf Course at Carlisle Country Club

A classic parkland design, opened in 1924, now entering a new era of careful restoration and renewal.

A century-old design

A Course Rooted in History

The Carlisle Country Club golf course is a classic traditional design opening in 1924. The original plans remain a mystery, but some records indicate that W.H. “Pipes” Follet was the architect of the original nine holes. Today, that century-old foundation is the starting point for a thoughtful new chapter.

New Ownership Takes the Helm

Carlisle Golf Group assumes the direction of the Club on April 1, 2025, beginning a new chapter focused on enhancing playability and the member experience while preserving the course’s legacy.

A New Architectural Partner

Carlisle Golf Group retains the well known architectural firm Fry Straka Global Golf Course Design to consult on ongoing renovations aimed at enhancing playability and member experience while preserving the club’s legacy.

“We are very excited to be back in central PA and working with Carlisle Country Club to help them navigate these course enhancements over time. The golf course is a wonderful parkland design with many golden age architectural features that we hope to enhance over time.” — Jason Straka, Partner, Fry Straka Global Golf Course Design

Irrigation Retrofit Complete

The course’s aging and fractured irrigation system has undergone a full retrofit — and that work is now complete. Members will notice significantly improved course conditions as a result of this major investment in the Club’s infrastructure.

Looking Ahead

With the irrigation project complete, the focus now shifts to the next round of course enhancements — continuing to improve playability while honoring the course’s golden-age character.

“Adding course enhancements will be fun for members and create a new challenge. It’s a beautiful, walkable course with stunning views.” — Mark Toigo, Carlisle Golf Group
